I'm gonna start a study of Jeremiah.

Starting here.

5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

This is an amazing statement by God. God knows all.
17 "Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land-against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD .

This is a call to all of us, not just Jeremiah. We must do the Lord's work in all that we do. Never be afraid, for the Lord will keep us safe when we do His work, spread His Word.
Moving on:
22 Although you wash yourself with soda and use an abundance of soap,
the stain of your guilt is still before me," declares the Sovereign LORD.

To some, this can seem contradictory to the Teachings of the New Testament, when the Lord grants forgiveness for all sins. But here, God is saying that these people try to wash their immortal souls with soap. You cannot clean your soul with Lever 2000. You cannot even clean your soul yourself. You must ask the Lord to cleanse it of your sins, and he will do so.
And again, next chapter:
1 "If a man divorces his wife and she leaves him and marries another man, should he return to her again? Would not the land be completely defiled? But you have lived as a prostitute with many lovers-would you now return to me?"
declares the LORD .

This is for those who sin, knowing God will forgive them, and do so guiltlessly. You defile the holy faith of your Lord God when you sin. But when you sin, and feel no remorse, because you know God will forgive the sin, you are testing Him. You are abusing your faith. Not to mention the fact that you are purposefully sinning.
11 The LORD said to me, "Faithless Israel is more righteous than unfaithful Judah.

This is interesting. The question "If one doesn't know about the Kingdom of God, will they get into Heaven?" comes to mind after reading this. The basics of this is that if you purposefully disobey your God, your Faith, you are worse off than a person who knows no better. Of course, the most righteous are those who know and follow the Word of God. Be sure to spread the word, and do not be afraid to share your faith.

That's all for now.
